Can't Bear This Party are an upcoming pop punk band from PACA, France. The band has a unique sound which consits of pop punk with 8 bit keyboards and hardcore riffs. They have played with international acts such as Man Overboard, Title Fight and many more.
Band Bucket recently got a chance to interview vocalist Remi and threw out few questions about their upcoming album and South East Asia and Russian tour.

Please introduce yourself, your names and role in the band.

Can't Bear This Party area 6 pieces band.

Romeo - drums
Jimbo - bass
Lino - guitar
Quentin - guitar
Jean - keys and vocals
Remi - glockenspiel and vocals

How did Can't Bear This Party came into existence?

Can't Bear This Party is a meeting between 2 bands ( Smelly Socks with Quentin, Lino Romeo and Chasing Paperboy with Jimbo and Jean). They recorded at my own studio the first Ep. Then I joined the boat during the recording of the album "Ain't no princess"

For those you who aren't familiar with your music, can you please describe your sound?

We are playing a kind of punk rock with keyboard's cheap sounds. We just wanna have fun and play fast, with good melodies.

Who are your main influences and favorite bands?

We are not listening the same bands. Personally, when I read the Can't Bear This Party influences on websites, I don't know the bands… Even on our own profiles.
Maybe it's interesting for us to mix our 6 influences.

Tell us a bit about the French music scene, your friends Chunk No Captain Chunk has gained a lot of popularity.Do you think more pop punk/hardcore bands are coming out after their success?

I think that easycore will die soon. People will be bored with this music style, because in France we have so many bands who play cheap easycore, only because it's fashion. Right now, many little hardcore guys are listening to Dubstep, a new fashion. So in one year, we'll have thousands of Dubstep DJ's in France and a fall of easycore bands.
For Chunk No Captain Chunk, it's different. They're talented.

Are you currently working on any new material or just busy playing gigs?

We are working on new songs at this time. We started to record few songs. We will see if they will be good enough. I won't say anything more, you'll have to stay tuned.

Are you guys sticking with your signature sound or trying out something new for your next album?
I think that you'll recognize Can't Bear This Party but it won't be a copy paste of "ain't no princess". We don't want to play same songs for every records. It's boring and uninteresting. I guess we like to challenge ourselves.

This year you'll be doing a SEA Tour in June and Russias Tour in October, how are you looking forward to it?

We are really exiting to cross the seas to play in these countries. A tour is a party and incredible experience with a lot of insane meetings. It seems that crowds in Indonesia and Russia are exited for us to come so I guess this is gonna be crazy.

In reference to the last question, how did you manage to pull out the international tours?

Lino is the Man. He manage the band shedule. He answers all gig's propositions and try to make it as best as possible. So we give our confidence to Lino and hope that everything will go well.

You have shared the stage with many international bands such as Transit and TItle Fight. How was it like playing with them?

Playing with Transit an Title Fight was nice but not really exiting. To be honest, the promoter did not well his job and his crew was totally bad. So the conditions weren't combined to make a good party. The bands don't wanted to play for so long because they would go to sleep as early as possible, so… (that's what the promoter said to us but we didn't talked with the guys so where is the truth?)
But the crowd was awesome!! So it wasn't to bad.

Thank you for your time, anyting you'd like to add for the fans?

Thanks to everyone for coming to our shows and spreading the words.
